Architecture matters.
How intelligence is organized deserves as much attention as how it is scaled.
Manaslu Labs is an independent research and engineering effort exploring the next generation of intelligent systems.
We exist because progress toward more capable intelligence requires architectural innovation, not simply larger computation budgets.

RESEARCH MEETS ENGINEERING
Our research investigates recursive self-improvement, automated reasoning, and adaptive cognitive architectures. We ask how a system might change its own problem-solving structures—and how to establish whether those changes help.
Alongside that research, we build infrastructure. Relay, our agent execution project, explores a concrete part of the same question: how can intelligent systems do more useful work with fewer repeated computations?
We are early in this work. Our approach is deliberate: make hypotheses explicit, build experiments, inspect failures, and retain only what the evidence supports.

A compelling idea is a starting point. Empirical evaluation decides what comes next.
The resources required to produce a reliable result are part of the result.
